As far back as I can remember many of my days were spent in the kitchen cooking with my Mom and Grandma. As I grew older, baking became more than just a favorite pastime: it started to become a passion.

Still, I loved fashion and design as much as baking, so I headed to The Fashion Institute of Technology to pursue a degree in Accessories Design and Fabrication. I have been working in the design field on a part-time basis but wanted to dedicate some of my time and creativity to my baking.  Fortunately, my baking allows me to utilize the creativity I fostered in college in a way that makes my desserts unique.

When trying to identify what would make my company special and different, I called upon my experiences with desserts. I knew that I wanted my desserts to be bite size because I can’t tell you how many times I have tried to eat a cupcake and ended up with 90% of the icing on my face. What size do I mean by "bite size"? They can be enjoyed in 1 or 2 bites. After deciding on my personal favorites, followed by a delectable course of recipe testing until perfection was achieved, Carb Coma was finally born in October of 2011!

For anyone who hasn’t heard of this phenomenon, I consider a "carb coma" to be that blissful nap state we enter after consuming our favorite foods, generally dessert or any other carbohydrate rich food.
